Queen's Park
The Homegrown Ontario red barn logo was proudly displayed on the south lawn of Queen’s Park on June 16th for the annual Pick Ontario Freshness Event. Sharing the spotlight with a number of other Ontario food producers, Homegrown Ontario joined in on this yearly effort to help draw support for the local food movement.

The Homegrown Ontario team sampled succulent Homegrown Ontario Ultimate Meatloaf balls. This meatloaf recipe – made with all Ontario pork, veal and lamb and wrapped in Ontario bacon – is perfect for a weeknight family dinner but can also be used to make mini meatballs great to serve as appetizers. Visitors to our booth left with bumper stickers, recipe booklets, and fridge magnets. Premier Dalton McGuinty and Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Leona Dombrowsky took the time to visit the booth for a chat and a photo opportunity. Thank you to all who stopped by to say hello and to learn more about Homegrown Ontario.
